It all starts inauspiciously enough - the hard rock obsessed teenagers awake one day, still on their couch, to find their beloved television is missing. Previous characters make a return and are given some development where relevant to the plot. Since he cannot change the simplistic, constantly sniggering leads he has done the most logical thing he could by surrounding them with a plethora of multi-faceted characters tied together with a conspiracy plot that takes them into other locations where their simple-but-effective double-entendre humour can flourish. But why should it? Mike Judge has managed to fill out the 75 or so minutes well without making it drag, and he's done it with style. If you didn't like the main duo to begin with then this will do nothing to convince you otherwise. These are some of the movie's finer qualities. That's probably my other complaint about the movie it didn't really focus too much on other universe shenanigans, it was basically just a way to bring them to 2022."Beavis and Butthead Do America" is filled with vulgar humour, sadistic or otherwise bizarre characters and a convoluted plot insane enough to make no sense. :( Not counting Smart Beavis of course, in that strange world inhabited by all Beavis & Butt-Heads. No version of B&B in any universe has ever scored. I never realized it before, but Beavis and Butt-Head is actually a tragedy. In a way, it reminded me a bit of Bill and Ted Face the Music, where they try to recapture the magic of the originals, but something has changed along the way. It was a bummer seeing the future versions of themselves, but luckily they didn't go through that portal.

Also, the drug-fueled Cornholio TP prison riot was pretty inspired.

When they start exercising their "white privilege" was a pretty good joke. It brought back so many memories of being too young to watch it at the time, which was part of its appeal.Īlthough it relies on most of the same jokes and humor, there were some funny bits that stood out for me. What's good is that it resembles the original series and feels like no time has passed at all. Didn't see an official discussion thread, so I guess this'll do.
